Hello, I’m Ron Averett, CEO of Motobyo – the used car marketplace that’s turning an antiqued business model on its head and changing the way that people buy and sell their vehicles. Our patent-pending tech is eliminating the industry middlemen and connecting buyers directly to sellers, saving everyone money, time and headaches.
Why we’re an attractive investment:
- 40M transaction target audience
- $1.6T used car market ready for disruption
- Patent-pending technology
- Asset-free business model. Motobyo provides tech, does not own vehicles
- Value proposition partners allow for rapid expansion into new markets
- $1.1M founder seed capital investment to support pre-launch.
- $2.5M additional funds raised to support beta in Philadelphia DMA
As you may have heard, we’re raising capital via an equity crowdfunding campaign on our website. In today’s blog, I am going to cover everything you need to know about crowdfunding and our current raise.
Introducing The Future of Investing
Regulation Crowdfunding (Reg CF) allows early-stage companies to raise capital from accredited and nonaccredited investors. It’s an opportunity to invest in companies people believe in and potentially reap the rewards of their success!
The JOBS Act was passed in 2013. Previously, only accredited investors (venture capitalists and angel investors) were eligible to invest.
Restrictions are now a thing of the past for the public who want to own shares in their favorite startups. If you have an internet connection, you’re qualified to back these companies!
New regulations surrounding the Title III of the JOBS Act dramatically changed the landscape for equity crowdfunding. Companies have the opportunity to raise up to $5M annually (previously set to $1.07M annually).
